Recruiting our next Vicar

Phot of the front of All Saints ChurchApplications are now open to be the next Vicar of All Saints, Cheadle Hulme.

After a few weeks of preparing the paperwork behind the scenes, an advertisement for the role has appeared on the Chester Diocese's website and will shortly appear in the Church Times.

We are looking for:

"a Vicar who can energetically and bravely lead the growth of All Saints across our community; while respecting our traditions and building upon our foundations."

The PCC has written the 'Parish Profile', which is a document combining an introduction to our church and our area with a person specification for the next incumbent. Included in this are the results from the consultation we did across the church membership last November.

The Parish Profile is available to read or download as a pdf from our websitepdf icon

Our Churchwardens, Janet Ashman and John Ackerley, will be leading the recruitment process on behalf of the PCC and the whole congregation. Please pray for them and for the applicants. Here is the special Interregnum Prayer, which was written by our Reader, Pat Yates:

God our Father,

In this time of vacancy we pray that, as your people here at All Saints, we may work together in harmony and seek to further the work of your Kingdom.

We thank you for your provision for us in the past and we pray that, in due time, you will provide for us a loving, godly and inspiring Vicar to lead and guide us.

This we ask in the name of your Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
