Praying for the Sick

A picture of two pairs of hands in prayerIf you go into our church meeting room on the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm you will find a group praying for people who are sick. And they would love you to join them...

The newly formed "James Group" drew its inspiration from the Letter of St. James where he urges everyone to pray for the sick and assures us that:

"the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective."

The format of the monthly meetings is that there will be a daily prayer booklet for attendees to use if they want to, or they can pray independently. Outside of the monthly meetings, you can decide to pray daily or choose to pray for a few people as and when you can. There's no commitment to turn up every month and no subscription to pay to join the group.

If you would like the "James Group" to pray for someone you know who is unwell, then please contact Pat Yates or Linda Ackerley who can add the person's name to the church's list. You can always discuss any concerns and needs with Pat or Linda in strictest confidence.
