Messy Church

On Saturday 15 December come and join in the messy Christmas activities - to celebrate Jesus' birth and be reminded that during all of the rushing around at this time of year we need to remember what it's all about! Take time out to do some craft, hear a story and play a game plus stay for a bite to eat. We start at 4pm.

Please let the Vicar know beforehand if possible so that resources are prepared by calling Rev Janet Bacon on 0161 485 3455 or emailing her at

Sessions for the new year will be on Saturday 26 January, Saturday 23 February and Saturday 23 March 2019.

The background

MESSY CHURCH is a form of celebration for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It typically involves a welcome; a long creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a sit-down meal together at tables. For further information phone 0161 485 3455.

Very successful services have been held at approximately three monthly intervals since March 2014.

Messy Church is held in the church starting at 4 pm and lasts for just over an hour with food served afterwards in the meeting room.
