Operation Christmas Child

You are invited to bring love and joy into the lives of deprived children this Christmas by packing a shoe box of gifts.

Toys, stationery, soaps, hats, scarves, gloves and sweets are suggested by the organisers, the charity, Samaritan's Purse. However, you can chose what to include as long as it is appropriate for the recipient (and on the acceptable gifts list). You can decide to pack a box with gifts for a girl or a boy from the ages of 2 to 14 years old. You can add a personal note and photo of your family as well. The charity asks that you also enclose a £5 donation which covers the cost of shipping and distribution.

If you don't have a shoe box to hand, don't worry, there are pre-printed ones available at All Saints for 40p. The church volunteer knitters have also made some items which you can add to your box for free.

Leaflets with more information are available on the display in the church or online

The deadline for bringing your completed boxes back to All Saints is Sunday 11 November. They will then be taken to a local Operation Christmas Child drop off point and then distributed to young people in more than 100 countries worldwide.
