We offer support and help for the major occasions in your life be they the happy ones – baptisms and weddings, or the sad ones – funerals.

We are delighted when couples come to us wanting their child to be baaptised at All Saints'. We conduct baptisms for all those who live in the parish or who have a strong connection with the church. Baptisms can be held during our main Sunday morning service when the church will be able to welcome your child into the church family or, if this is not possible we also hold baptisms at 12 noon on Sundays. We suggest that you make enquiries at an early stage so we can give you advice about godparents etc and get your preferred date booked in. Our vicar will visit you to discuss the service so you will feel comfortable on the day. We hope that this will be the start of a continuing connection with our church. There is no charge for the baptism service except for a small charge in providing a certificate and a charge for providing an organist if you want a 12 noon service with hymns.

It is a privilege to share in this happy occasion. If you reside in the parish or have a “qualifying connection” with All Saints (please contact the vicar for further information) then you can be married here. Otherwise you would have to attend worship here for a minimum of six months in order to be placed on the electoral roll which would then entitle you to be married here. We suggest you contact us at an early stage to book your wedding. Our vicar will see you when you book and then a few months before your wedding will send you an invitation to our Marriage Preparation Day when all the practical details will be gone through and the service explained. Our organist will give you whatever help you need regarding the music and our Flower Group can offer help (at a very reasonable cost) with your flower arrangements. A few days before your wedding our vicar will meet you at church for a rehearsal. We will do our best to make your special day a happy one.

Please phone the vicar if you want a special service.

Arranging a funeral can be very stressful and upsetting at what is already a difficult and demanding time. We try to make sure this process is as simple and straightforward as possible.

The vicar or whoever is taking the service from our church will visit you to discuss your wishes for the content of the funeral service. We are happy to advise you regarding hymns and readings and orders of service. Certain prayers have to be said but we are flexible with regard to music and any readings (religious or non-religious) which you might like in the service.

Your loved one's name will be remembered in our prayers and there is also the opportunity, should you wish it, to have their name placed in our Book of Remembrance. There is no charge for this. Bereaved families are in our thoughts and prayers after the service too and if there is anything further we can do to help we are there for you.

Our churchyard is now full so no more plots are available for burial but if your loved one was a resident of the parish or was on the electoral roll you can have their ashes placed in the churchyard. It is not possible to scatter ashes in the churchyard. They are buried and a little service will be conducted at the burial. A charge is made for this. Please contact the vicar for further information.
