AFTERNOON BIBLE STUDY GROUP – This group usually meets fortnightly, between October and Easter, on a Tuesday afternoon to study and discuss chosen books or themes from the Bible. During the 2012/2013 season we shall be undertaking ten studies within St John's Gospel. Meetings will be held at 14 Lavenham Close, Hazel Grove at 2.30 pm.

Outline programme for 2014 will be available soon.

New members are always welcome – contact Pat Yates (0161 485 4546) or Michael Aiers (0161 439 7692).

NEW TESTAMENT GREEK STUDY GROUP – This group is currently making a detailed study of St Luke's Gospel in the original language, and using other passages from the New Testament as exercises in translation and parsing. As the group has been working for many years now, anyone wishing to join will need to be reasonably proficient at New Testament Greek. Contact Irene Walton (1061 439 6096).

ALL SAINTS' CHARITIES COMMITTEE – The Committee, which is chaired by the Vicar, comprises a cross-section of representatives from various organisations within the church. Its principal objective is to help charities both in this country and abroad, benefit economically. This it does through fund raising, an integral part of the Committee's remit, holding on average four social events per year, including a Christmas Fair. It is incumbent on members to select which charities to support – not easy given the many requests for financial aid we receive.

ALL SAINTS' FLOWER GROUP – Apart from Lent, there are always flowers in church. You will find pedestals in the porch, south east corner, by the altar and in the cloister. At Easter, Harvest and Christmas the number of arrangements double. The flowers on the altar are paid for by individual donations each week (the vacancies are published in the January Parish Magazine) as are some of the south east corner arrangements and all are arranged by the Flower Group. We meet four times a year to discuss rotas, finance, the festivals and the Christmas Coffee Morning. We can also arrange flowers for weddings and ask that you discuss your requirements with us about two months before the wedding. If you would like to know more about the Flower Group please contact Frances Pickett (0161 439 8890).
